Tom Pickett holds a Law Degree from Bond University and a Graduate Certificate in Applied Finance and Investment.

Tom has experience in various sectors, including mining exploration, law, tourism, and hotels, having held executive appointments in these areas for both ASX listed and private companies.

He is currently the Executive Chairman of Cannindah Resources and has held numerous board positions on other ASX listed companies over the past 15 years. His experience in the management of exploration activity across several projects in North Queensland for both gold and copper is a valuable asset to Cannindah Resources Limited.

Tom has been involved in many transactions that have transformed the operations of ASX listed companies into new areas. Recently, he was a Non-Executive Director of Discovery Resources Limited, which is now known as Aquis Entertainment Limited.

He was instrumental in completing this transaction from Discovery Resources Limited’s perspective and stepped off the board of what is now an operational entertainment and casino company at the completion of the transaction.

Until recently, Tom was a Non-Executive Director of ASX listed exploration company Austin Metals (ASX: AYT). He resigned from this position as Non-Executive Director, to focus on the Cannindah Resources Limited projects.

Tom's experience in numerous areas of business and transactions with ASX listed entities will assist Cannindah Resources Limited in its stated intention of becoming a more diversified company moving forward.

Tony has over 40 years technical and management experience in the mining industry, as an exploration and mining geologist, and as a company executive at board level. Tony was most recently the Managing Director of Azure Minerals Limited (Azure) where he oversaw the discovery of the world class Andover Lithium Deposit in the Pilbara in joint venture with Mr Mark Creasy, and which ultimately culminated in the $1.7 billion cash takeover of the company by Hancock Prospecting Pty Ltd and Sociedad Química y Minera de Chile S.A. (SQM). For this transaction, Azure and Tony were awarded the prestigious “Dealer of the Year Award” at the 2024 Diggers & Dealers Mining Forum.

Michael Hansel is a Partner at HopgoodGanim Lawyers in their Corporate practice. He has expertise in mergers and acquisitions, capital raisings, due diligence, takeovers, joint ventures, corporate restructuring and private equity transactions. Michael is also the co-lead of HopgoodGanim Lawyers’ Asia Business Unit, where he predominantly works with Asia-based clients investing in Australian corporations.

Michael has a specific interest in transactions involving foreign investment and regularly publishes articles associated with Australia’s foreign investment legislative regime. Michael’s clients include ASX-listed entities and large private companies in the resources, technology and agricultural sectors.

Michael is consistently recognised by legal publications, including recommended by Doyle’s Guide as a Leading Corporate Lawyer, Queensland, 2015–2022 and Leading Business & Commercial Lawyer – Queensland, 2018, 2021 and 2022. He was also named by The Best Lawyers™ as a leading Australian practitioner in Corporate Law, 2017–2023; Mergers and Acquisitions Law, 2020–2023; and Commercial Law, 2021–2023.

Laura comes from a background in Law with excellent work ethic, and attention to detail which has made her an integral part of the Cannindah team.

Based in our Broadbeach office, Laura works closely and directly alongside Tom to facilitate in the efficiency of Tom’s day-to-day Cannindah operations.

Garry Gill has more than 30 years’ experience in all facets of corporate financial and administrative functions and has served in Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretarial positions at a number of listed and unlisted public companies, private companies and statutory authorities.

Garry is a Chartered Accountant, a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia.
